Senior Agile Coach (f/m/x)

Full time, permanent

Our goal @Zenjob is to match people with work that interests them by giving them the freedom to decide when and where they want to work through automation and digitalization. We are currently organised in two value streams, with multiple cross-functional teams. As a Senior Agile Coach, you have the opportunity to support a highly motivated group of people and have big impact in building the best experience for our users. 

How you will contribute

  • Our goal is to have the agile toolkit accessible for all our teams and individuals to support them in building great products.
  • You will work with the stream leadership to support an appropriate team setup, iterate on the ways of working and assure knowledge sharing across the stream.
  • Within your stream, you will help the cross-functional teams on a daily basis, while leading them towards self-organisation. This includes facilitating rituals as well as educating and encouraging teams to experiment with agile formats. As a process expert, you coach and mentor them in picking the appropriate tools for the task at hand. 
  • We believe that translating ideas into ready-to-build concepts is the first crucial steps in product development. You will establish and facilitate discovery methods like design sprints and especially inceptions. 
  • You will work closely with the product managers,  helping them to make product decisions, to create clear backlogs and keep a productive working relationship with their team and stakeholders.
  • We have a very lovely group of agile facilitators, taking on responsibility to facilitate each other’s rituals. As agile coaches, we will help to grow this internal community of practice, offering trainings and education around agile topics. We will also hold team and cross-team workshops in house and organise open spaces for the wider Agile community. 

Who you are

  • You are an energetic person with very good communication skills, have a desire to ever optimise processes and workflows and enjoy working with people and teams.
  • You worked with Scrum, Kanban, XP or such for a number years and firmly believe that Agile is the vehicle to create great work environments and great products. You deeply understand and are willing to strongly advocate the values and principles behind the Agile manifesto, even if it means challenging existing structures. You, therefore, understand impediments as opportunities to change or dissolve existing constraints.
  • You know where to draw the line between dogmatism and negotiable parts from any Agile methodology, and understand that you need to act as a servant leader and a coach. You are the guardian of your team, knowing when to shield them and when to push on their behalf.
  • You lead by example rather than by dictate and you know how to bring out the best in people. You’re not afraid to deal with conflicts and can mediate them efficiently. You contribute actively to a sustainable and collaborative, team-oriented culture.
