In this position you will build and drive our brand and performance as we rapidly expand our business.  Zenjob has huge ambitions to re-invent flexible work across Europe as the next generation in temporary staffing.  Through tech we dramatically simplify and improve the experience both for our temp workers, our “talent”, and the companies where they work, our customers. The Marketing Team is responsible for driving acquisition, engagement and retention both for talent and customers, as well as establishing the Zenjob brand as the marketplace leader. This is a critical role to build our growth engine market by market, both online and offline.  This role directly reports to Zenjob’s Chief Revenue Officer.  

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Own and execute marketing strategy and plan for Zenjob, from talent & customer insights and brand positioning, to content creation and planning, to execution across all touchpoints.  
  • Build and lead the Zenjob marketing team, building capability and an engine for growth that is scalable and repeatable market by market.  
  • Champion our talent through the journey, whilst working collaboratively and cross-functionally (e.g. Product & Engineering, BizDev, People & Culture and more departments) to improve the talent experience driving engagement, retention, and word of mouth
  • Deliver both centrally led campaigns as well as the hyper local offline activities needed to kickstart new markets and deliver on business objectives.
  • Develop media strategy, planning, and execute all paid media campaigns across media channels with built in learning to achieve optimal business results
  • Coordinate internal and external creative and content teams to deliver campaigns as well as foundations in alignment with brand positioning and long-term goals
  • Foster compelling storytelling to create a dynamic, engaging and authentic brand experience that successfully reflects the spirit of our mission 
  • Inspire, collaborate and propel external partners (Creative, Digital Agency, Social)
  • Generate market intelligence, analytics, and comprehensive reporting for all key digital and analog media channels, fostering a real-time learning and marketing optimization environment
  • Continuously and proactively search for new opportunities to grow our channels, thinking innovatively to find solutions to overcome growth-limiting challenges

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of relevant experience with strong demonstrable track record
  • Bachelor’s Degree required /Master’s degree or MBA preferred, native or proficient (C1) in German and English
  • Experience in multi-channel paid media with demonstrable campaign results and business impact in the German Market as well as several other European countries.
  • A solid background in digital and social media as well as local offline activities and campaigns
  • Expert in leading marketing optimization and analytic tools and methodologies
  • Must be a strategic self-starter who can lead and motivate teams as well as ‘roll up the sleeves’ and make things happen individually to perform in a lean and ambiguous startup environment
  • Experience creating a marketplace business is a strong plus
